The connected vehicle platform is based on the installation of a diagnostic transmitter with an inductive connection to the vehicle's computer combined with an application for the driver's mobile phone. The integration of the application and the transmitter make it possible to make a wide range of location- and information-based services accessible to the driver, and a safer and more enjoyable driving experience.
Pointer's connected vehicle solution includes accessibility of services through designated controlled applications and linkage to service and emergency centers which operates 24/7.
The connected car solution allows you to manage and update applications and user profile remotely, push messaging, monitoring vehicle parameters, connecting to the ADAS world and more. This is in addition to detection and protection services and the recovery of a stolen vehicle.
Vehicle Tracking and Protection Solutions
The system, which was developed for connected vehicles, is also known by insurance companies for the purpose of locating and protecting the vehicle. All systems are hybrid and based on three location technologies – GPS, RF, CELL ID and include a component for identifying cellular disruption – the most common method of theft today.
Upon receipt of the information, an alert is sent to Pointer's operational center for activity to thwart the theft.
Collision sensor
The vehicle's transmitter incorporates a built-in collision sensor, which can detect an accident event in real time.
The sensor automatically transmits to the accident management center and thus enables the provision of a support envelope to the driver, which includes sending search and rescue forces, road services and transferring the vehicle to a service center.
Using the sensor, it is possible to diagnose the severity of the accident, the location of the vehicle, the affected area and more.
Mobile Information App
A mobile application that provides the driver with available information in real time, including: receiving push notifications to mobile, connectivity to service and emergency centers, vehicle information, indicator lights, service and test orders for the vehicle including service history, navigation services, ordering road services, navigation to service and sales centers, and more.
